Representatives of occupation regime detain Georgian citizen in Gali

Representatives of the occupation regime detained a citizen of Georgia, Alexander Kapanadze, in the Gali district. As InterPressNews was told by the State Security Service of Georgia, the citizen of Georgia is accused of illegal border crossing.

The European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) has already been informed about the case and they are working to release the Georgian citizen.

“We confirm the fact of illegal detention. The so-called citizen is accused of illegal border crossing. A hotline has been activated and the EUMM has been informed of the case,” the State Security Service said.
