Ketevan Tsikhelashvili: I expect that Irakli Kvaratskhelia's body will be handed over to us in the nearest future

I expect that Irakli Kvaratskhelia's body will be handed over to us in the nearest future, - State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality Ketevan Tsikhelashvili stated in the Parliament in connection with the death of Irakli Kvaratskhelia, a Georgian citizen detained by de facto authorities, in Gali.

According to Tsikhelashvili, the de-facto regime should provide the footage showing the incident, if there is any.

"As you know, we received information about this tragic fact yesterday. Reportedly it was a suicide. I cannot specify the circumstances of the death until we have no details.

The co-chairs of Geneva talks have left for Sokhumi today. They will ask specific questions. The hotline has been activated as well. I have an expectation that the body will be handed over to us in the nearest future”, the State Minister said.
