State Security Service says EUMM has been informed of the priest’s detention

According to the State Security Service, the priest of Tskhinvali and Nikozi Eparchy, Father Davit (Durglishvili) was detained on charges of illegal crossing of the so-called border.

As InterPressNews was told by the State Security Service, EUMM has been informed about the detention and the hotline has been activated.

According to the available information, the detained priest is in the pre-trial detention facility of Tskhinvali.

Father Daviti was working in his agricultural land near the dividing line, when the so-called border guards showed up and detained him. Other people, who were working together with him, managed to escape.

No contact could have been established with the priest so far.
