MIA: After the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left the territory surrounding the Parliament, rally participants became aggressive and we used pepper spray and water cannon

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to restore the rule of law, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs administered special means defined by law, the so-called pepper spray and water cannon.

The Ministry calls upon each participant of the rally to express their protest peacefully, refrain from violent actions and to follow the legal instructions of the law enforcement officers.

“After the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs left the territory surrounding the Parliament, rally participants became aggressive and attempted to damage the iron gates of the legislative body. The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to restore the rule of law, administered special means defined by law, the so-called pepper spray and water cannon.

We call upon each participant of the rally to express their protest peacefully, refrain from violent actions and to follow the legal instructions of the law enforcement officers. The police will take legal action against any fact of violation”, reads the statement.
