Statement of the Special Investigation Service

The Special Investigation Service investigates the facts of possible abuse and exceeding official powers against the participants of the Rally taking place near the Parliament of Georgia on April 30, 2024, and on May 1, 2024, with the signs of the crime under Article 333 (3b) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

The Special Investigation Service receives reports on the incidents through the hotline, from the Temporary Detention Facilities and the Public Defender's Office, and ensures appropriate legal response, investigative activities are planned and carried out.

The public will be informed about the progress and outcomes of the investigation.
