Amendments have been made to the rules related to the activities and powers of the temporary investigative commission of Parliament.
The Parliament has urgently considered and adopted the draft amendment, which is related to the investigative commission established to study the activities of the National Movement government.
According to the draft, if there is reasonable suspicion that a criminal act has been committed, the temporary investigative commission of the Parliament will be able to raise the issue of initiating an investigation with the relevant body at any stage of its activities.
In addition, the temporary investigative commission is authorized to instruct one of the members of the commission to obtain an explanation from a person who expresses a desire to provide the Temporary Investigative Commission with important information.
With the same draft, the temporary investigative commission will be able to hold a session on the days of plenary sessions of the Parliament, although not during the plenary session of the Parliament.
