Michael Roth to Kaja Kallas: Words are not enough, go to Georgia and demand fair and free elections

"Thank you, dear Kaja Kallas, but words are not enough," wrote Michael Roth, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Bundestag, on the social media platform X, where he shared the statement of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, regarding the recent events in Georgia.

"Travel to Georgia! Give courage to the people who risk their lives for European values. Demand fair and free elections at last. Take action against all those responsible for violence and oppression, the destruction of democracy!" Roth wrote.

As a reminder, Kaja Kallas issued a statement two days ago, stating that the brutal crackdown on peaceful protesters, journalists, and politicians in Tbilisi is unacceptable and that Georgia is failing to meet any expectations as a candidate country.
