"We do not recognize the legitimacy of the so-called parliament. Therefore, our coalition's unified position is not to fill out the officials' declarations," reads a statement issued by the "Coalition for Change."
As coalition members state, "It is important that the struggle for the freedom of political prisoners and for new and fair elections continues with the Georgian people."
"Coalition for Change" does not recognize the Russian-style falsified elections of October 26, and we do not recognize the legitimacy of the so-called parliament. This is why we refused parliamentary mandates, funding, and other privileges.
Therefore, our coalition's unified position is not to fill out the officials' declarations. In compliance with the principles of transparency and the requirements of the law, our declarations as parliamentary candidates were filled out before the 2024 elections.
Now, at this historic moment for our homeland, it is each of our duty to continue working on the policy of non-recognition and, together with the Georgian people, to achieve the freedom of political prisoners and new, fair elections," the statement says.
For reference, the members of the "National Movement" also do not intend to fill out the declarations. As for the position of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, one of its leaders, Irakli Kupradze, stated that despite demanding the termination of parliamentary mandates, they will still fill out the property declarations.
