Giorgi Vashadze: "It seems even hired groups are no longer under control, and politicians are directly resorting to physical retribution - this violence has a name: Bidzina Ivanishvili"

It appears that even the hired groups are no longer obeying orders, and politicians are now directly engaging in physical assaults. This violence has a name: Bidzina Ivanishvili, said Giorgi Vashadze, leader of "Strategy Aghmashenebeli," while commenting on the attacks against Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the "Gakharia - For Georgia" party, and Zviad Koridze, a representative of civil society.

According to Vashadze, this indicates weakness on their part, and they are attempting to demonstrate strength through such actions.

Vashadze expressed distrust in the investigation, emphasizing that all perpetrators will be held accountable after a change in government.

"This is systemic violence. Full solidarity with Zviad Koridze and Giorgi Gakharia. This violence has a name: Bidzina Ivanishvili. In my case, for instance, I was attacked by a hired, unidentified individual with a so-called screwdriver. Now, it seems these groups are no longer under control, and politicians themselves are resorting to physical retribution. This means they are weak and trying to show strength through such actions. I repeat: this is systemic crime and systemic violence that we must confront together. Previously, they sent hired individuals to attack us; now, even MPs and politicians are engaging in such acts. Everyone involved will face justice, but only after a change in government. No proper investigation will be conducted now. The person who attacked me (which qualifies as an attempted murder) was rewarded with a car instead of being investigated," Vashadze stated.

For context, Giorgi Gakharia, leader of "Gakharia - For Georgia," was attacked in Batumi last night at the Sheraton Hotel. Gakharia was taken to the hospital but was later discharged. According to doctors, he suffered a nasal bone fracture and a concussion.

In addition to the attack on Gakharia, there was a confrontation involving Zviad Koridze, a representative of the non-governmental sector, in the same hotel. According to Koridze, he was confronted by Dimitri Samkharadze, a representative of the "Georgian Dream," and his associates.
