The self-proclaimed regime, which brought chaos to the country, now has a chance to contribute to the return to the constitutional framework. If it does not do this, in such a case, we will have to switch to another regime, - Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Unity - National Movement, said after the meeting between the opposition and the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili.
According to Vashadze, President Salome Zurabishvili will make a statement on the new decisions that were agreed upon today, December 25, at 19:00.
"It was a good meeting. We talked about the environment in which new elections should be held so that they have the trust of the public. An agreement has been reached in this regard - what type of changes should be implemented in order for the elections to be held properly.
Also, a very important issue is that the government has gone beyond the constitutional framework, therefore, the new elections will return them within these frameworks.
As for the mechanism, we talked about what organizational mechanism should be there after December 29, which, together with the legitimate President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, will lead the political-social process in Georgia. The protest in Georgia must definitely continue, for which many thanks to everyone who is participating in this protest. We will talk about the news, which was also news to us, tomorrow at 19:00. Tomorrow, Salome Zurabishvili will talk about organizational mechanisms - what mechanism will lead the political-social process, which Georgia needs, which will talk to its partners and have constant communication with the citizens of Georgia.
The self-proclaimed regime, which brought chaos to the country, now has a chance to contribute to the return to the constitutional framework. If it does not do this, in such a case, we will have to switch to another regime”, - said Giorgi Vashadze.
