It is impossible that they did not know when they wrote the statements that the statement written at that time had no legal force. If they don't know, I can tell them that if they really want to leave the parliament, they should write new statements after the Parliament of Georgia recognizes their authority, "Georgian Dream" executive secretary Mamuka Mdinaradze said regarding the opposition members' desire to refuse their parliamentary mandates.
According to him, the representatives of the opposition wrote the statements before the declaration of authority so that they would not actually have to refuse their mandates.
"My expectation and opinion is that it is not excluded that they will enter the Parliament of Georgia at the very first session or that many of them will enter the Parliament of Georgia at the very first session. However, this may not be a correct prediction, it is 50/50, however, in the end, they think that entering the Parliament of Georgia is guaranteed, because it is impossible for them not to know when they wrote the statements that the statement written at that time had no legal force. If they don't know, I can tell them that if they really want to leave the Parliament, they should write new statements after the Parliament of Georgia recognizes their authority. But we do not expect such a thing, because that is why they wrote statements before the declaration of authority, so that they do not really have to leave the parliament and refuse their parliamentary mandates. If not, it will show up in just a few days. They are deceiving their electorate that they seem to exclude them from entering the parliament. Let's see how they will or will not break their word," said Mdinaradze.
He also called the complaints filed in the Constitutional Court, including that of the President, devoid of legal basis.
"Recently, we got used to the fact that 300,000 votes were falsified in the electronic elections, that there is a reason not to schedule the first session. They are completely out of the service area. There is no norm, no record anywhere in either the regulations or the constitution, according to which what they are talking about can happen. That is, if there is no norm and legal regulation, what are they stopping, how are they stopping, what are they talking about. They invent things and file lawsuits, there is no legal basis for all this," said Mdinaradze.
