If it is proven that Giorgi Gakharia resigned from the post of Prime Minister because he wanted to harm the state, of course, the people who are by his side will be considered as complicit in the crime - facts of treason may be filed after the election, which indicates that there may or may be a collective crime of treason - the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, made this statement to the media while commenting on the interview of the honorary chairperson of "Georgian Dream" Bidzina Ivanishvili.
Volski also says that Gakharia committed the most insidious act and the question of why, for what, how it happened and what is the connection between him and the "National Movement" should be answered.
According to Volski, "the head of everything is the National Movement".
"The person who says that Giorgi Gakharia did not want to overthrow the government with his actions and did not support the "national movement" does not have the ability to analyze. What Giorgi Gakharia did and what he was doing before his resignation is a story about how a person betrays not a specific team, but the country. It was Gakharia who suddenly announced that he should not touch the leader of the "National Movement". He also knew exactly that Mikheil Saakashvili was going to come to Georgia and organize a revolution in different ways. This is so obvious that there are no two opinions about it!
These people (members of Gakharia's team) stand around Giorgi Gakharia, the creator of steps taken against the interests of the state. These people took the path of treason not by betraying the party, but if it is proven that Giorgi Gakharia took this step [resigning from the post of prime minister] in order to harm the state, what is surprising is that people who are by his side are considered as complicit in the crime - the election The facts of this betrayal can then be laid down, suggesting that it may be a collective crime of betrayal or it may be ignorance.
People who have been acting against the country for a long time and are currently trying to organize a revolution should answer the questions asked by the investigation.
Of course, the final arena of discussions will be the court, and not a specific entity - even the ruling "Georgian Dream", Gia Volski said.
When asked how Bidzina Ivanishvili's irritation with Gakharia can be related to the electoral possibilities of his political party in the elections, Volski said that the truth about Gakharia is being told because he committed an act that could bring indescribable harm to the country.
"When it comes to Gakharia, the truth is told not because Gakharia has a high rating - his low rating is known - but the truth is told in order to show the population the danger from people who are active in the political field.
"Gakharia has done something that deserves a much tougher evaluation than the "National Movement", which has been doing it continuously since 2024," added Gia Volski.
