Mamuka Khazaradze at the meeting with the President: any candidacy should be considered after the elections and we told them clearly - the power belongs to the people

There was no talk about any candidates - we believe that any candidacy, if any, should be considered after the elections and we told this very clearly to [the president], Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, said after the meeting with the President.

According to him, "we have to focus now to win convincingly and return the country to the European course"."Our position of "Strong Georgia" is very concrete - the power in this country belongs to the Georgian people, therefore we believe that any candidacy, or candidacies, should be considered after the elections, and we told this very clearly to [the president].

There was no talk about any candidates. Our main focus now is to win convincingly and put the country back on the European course. As for the candidates - there was no discussion of the candidates. We strongly believe that the elections and their results in this country belong to the people and as a result of these elections all other issues should be considered within the framework of the Charter.

We do not think that politicians should decide the issue of appointing or not appointing certain officials before the elections, because the power belongs to the Georgian people. The choice of the Georgian people is supreme. We have to wait for October 26, to win, to sign this victory peacefully and accordingly, within the framework of the charter, the President as the guarantor of the transfer of this power and the formation of a new composition will be the main figure," Khazaradze said.

Michał Kobosko - we hope that your government eventually would either choose the European way, the democratic way or would resign seeing the number, the size and scale of the citizens' protests
