The document is clearly better than the previous one - most importantly, a much clearer mechanism has been offered relating to political prisoners. In general, I do not like the document, - Zurab Japaridze, the leader of Girchi -More Freedom, said after the meeting held in the European Union Delegation Office.

He said he did not believe the document would pull the country out of the crisis.

"I did not believe in the previous document, nor do I believe in this document, however, the good thing in the new document is the improved mechanism for the release of political prisoners. As for the signing, I have no decision at the moment. We were told that we will have time to think, including to have consultations with each other. What I am going to do is to have consultations in the party, then with other parties and then I will make a decision. This will probably last for a few days, then we may have another meeting here if the Georgian Dream shows up, because today you know that they did not come. My signature does not depends on whether the Dream will sign it or on, it's less interesting to me, I myself have a principled decision to make. No party matters, I and my party have to make a decision," Japaridze said.

He said that this document cannot ease the crisis, however, the country will not have a future without the support of the US and the EU.

Japaridze believes that significant progress has been made in the document on the part of political prisoners, while other issues can neither ensure real justice reform, nor can electoral reform ensure "good elections."

"I do not believe that this document will ease the crisis, I also do not believe that this country has a future without the support of the United States and the European Union, especially without the support of the United States, and we saw today the statement signed by the Department of State”, said Japaridze.
